Heavy incontinence can cause a lot of stress in day to day life. However, by choosing the right product you can manage heavy incontinence effectively and feel confident and care- free whilst doing daily activities.
If you suffer from heavy incontinence, your bladder may empty without warning and you will often be unable to stop once flow has started. If you need high absorbency products, or you require help getting to the bathroom, you may benefit from the protection of incontinence pants, a super absorbent pad or all-in-one briefs.
If you suffer from heavy or severe incontinence, here are some of the effective options you can choose between:
Pull Up Pants
Pull up pants can be worn by both men and women, with specific products that give each sex extra support in the areas that they need them.
The technological advances of pull up incontinence pants make the product more discreet and comfortable to wear. Pull up pants are elasticated at the waist and legs to give you greater protection. They are made from super soft, multi-layered absorbable fabrics that take away moisture and odours for all day comfort.
Pull up pants offer full protection against leakages and come in a range of sizes and absorbencies.
A great asset of the pants is that they can be handled just like normal underwear, encouraging independence whilst managing heavy incontinence.

All-in-one Belted Briefs
Adult all-in-one briefs, such as Tena Super Briefs are recommended if you constantly lose a large volume of urine at once, especially at night. Belted briefs combine an incontinence pad with a strap or a belt and can be worn either with your underwear or without. The belt attachment makes the undergarment easier to change than incontinence pants. They provide maximum protection for heavy incontinence while still being comfortable, discreet, and easy to change. Depend briefs, for example, offer protection that fits the female body and are effective for both daytime and night time use. Choose between adjustable briefs that conform to the body and maximum protection briefs. Prevail Adult Briefs have 4 wick-away moisture zones whilst Tena Briefs feature a wetness indicator.
Made from super soft, absorbent stretch material the belted undergarments provide multi-layered protection. The briefs have an elasticated front and back giving you more protection. Velcro straps are included in the products, facilitate the adjustment and ensuring a secure and comfortable fit. An odour control system is often included in the briefs, providing you with confidence that any unwanted odour will be masked.

Incontinence Pads
Incontinence pads are the discreet way to control heavy and reflex incontinence. They are available in a range of sizes and absorbencies, with products specifically designed to fit both women and men. Although pads are predominantly used for light to moderate incontinence, those who have heavy and severe incontinence can use pads with a high absorbency ISO level.
If you have heavy incontinence, it is important to look for Maxi or Super Pads, which are the products with high absorbency levels. The majority of pads designed for heavy to severe incontinence feature a core with multiple layers of super absorbent polymer and waterproof backing to ensure you are provided with a high level of protection.
They are made of an absorbable material which soaks up the liquid and takes it away from your skin, keeping you fresh and dry. They can be worn with your regular underwear or special fixation pants. Pads are a discreet way of managing your incontinence. The low absorbency pads are thin and light and can be carried around easily. If you need more protection, the all in one pad offers greater protection than a single regular pad. We also offer a range of bed, chair and washable pads, which come in a range of sizes and absorbencies.
