When people think about incontinence pants, they often think of bulky, noisy products that can be anything but discreet. Often, some waterproof pants can make a lot of noise during use and can feel plain uncomfortable. However, the market for incontinence pants is rapidly expanding, with products offering maximum comfort and discretion.
It is estimated that up to 17% of men will suffer from incontinence at some point. It can be very difficult to talk about, and the fear of wearing a bulky product makes people less likely to look for products. More men are opening up about their struggle with incontinence and demanding the same quality in their products as women have come to expect.
Men are often looking for the same thing as women in an incontinence product: a discreet, simple product that makes no noise. Men’s incontinence shorts feature a built-in absorbent pad whilst allowing for freedom of movement. Incontinence shorts look, feel and fit like regular underwear, with no bulking. The pants are completely reusable and machine washable. Designed just like normal underwear, the shorts provide flexibility and a secure fit. This ensures the product provides maximum discretion during use.
Are Incontinence Shorts Suitable for you?
Incontinence shorts are ideal for individuals with light to moderate incontinence. This makes them perfect for those with stress incontinence. They are perfect if you would prefer a product that is designed just like normal underwear. As they allow freedom of movement, they are particularly ideal for individuals who are very active and mobile. If you are looking for a cost-effective alternative to buying pants and a pad separately, incontinence shorts are an easy solution.

What are the alternatives to Incontinence Shorts?
If you would rather wear your normal underwear with a product, you can purchase incontinence pads. You have the choice of shaped pads, insert pads and traditional discreet pads. These fit into your normal underwear.
Alternatively, you can wear pads with net and lycra pants if you struggle to keep your incontinence pad in place.
Incontinence pull up pants are suitable for moderate to severe incontinence. Many pull up pants are suitable if you have both urinal and faecal incontinence. The pants have all round protection at the waist and legs. There is no need to wear pads with these, as they feature an absorbent core.
If you have very severe urinary and faecal incontinence, it is recommended that you go for an all-in-one product. These can be secured in place with adhesive strips and are ideal if you are less mobile. All-in-ones are suitable for use overnight.
